Got questions? You’re not alone! Here’s a little Q&A to help you feel confident and prepared before your appointment.
1. How do I book an appointment with you?

You can either book directly through my booking link or check my calendar for available dates, flash drops, or upcoming events. Flash and custom options are both welcome!
2. Do you accept walk-ins?

I primarily work by appointment, but occasionally I’ll host flash events or last-minute openings. Keep an eye on my calendar or social media for updates!
3. What’s the age requirement to get tattooed?

You must be 18 or older (with valid government-issued ID) — this is a legal requirement in Iowa. No exceptions.
4. How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?

Deposits are usually $70, unless your tattoo costs less — in that case, the full price is due upfront.
Deposits are non-refundable and go toward the total cost of your tattoo.
5. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please give me at least 2 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
- Less than 2 hours = $35 fee
- No-shows = $45 fee
I appreciate your communication and respect for my time!
6. Can I bring someone with me?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring 1–2 guests max. Just keep in mind that we’ll need space and focus to make sure your tattoo turns out great.
7. How should I prepare for my tattoo?

- Eat a solid meal at least 3 hours before
- Stay well-hydrated
- Wear comfy, accessible clothes (don’t wear jeans for a calf tattoo!)
- Get good rest and come feeling well
8. What if I’m on medication or have a health condition?

If you’re on medications like blood thinners or have any health concerns, you’ll need to get doctor approval before booking. Your safety is super important.
9. Do you offer touch-ups?

Yes!
- Touch-ups on tattoos I’ve done: around $20 (to cover supplies)
- Larger touch-ups may be a bit more
- Touch-ups on work I didn’t do: start at $50
10. Do you offer refunds?

No, sorry — all sales are final, and that includes deposits. Please be sure you’re ready to commit before booking.
11. Will I see my design before the appointment?

Yes — designs can absolutely be shown before your appointment, but only after the deposit has been paid. Each piece is custom and created with care, so the deposit ensures time and energy are respected on both sides. I’ll make sure you’re happy with the direction before we move forward.
12. Do tattoos hurt?

Pain is different for everyone, but some spots are definitely more sensitive than others.
Less painful areas: upper arms, forearms, thighs, calves
More painful areas: spine, neck, hands, feet, fingers, wrists, and rib cages
No matter where you’re getting tattooed, we’ll take it at your pace.
12. Can I bring food or drinks with me?

No snacks or open drinks, please. A water bottle is okay. Snacks and water can be provided if needed. Eating during your tattoo creates health risks — let’s keep things clean and safe.
13. What ID should I bring?

You’ll need something that shows your legal name, age, and photo. Acceptable options include:
- Driver’s license or state ID
- Passport
- School ID + birth certificate (must be 18+)
14. Do you accept cash or card?

Yes — most payment types are accepted. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask ahead of time!
15. What happens if I’m late?

Please don’t be more than 15 minutes late. I run a tight schedule and respect both our time. If something comes up, call or text me as early as possible. Emergencies happen, but communication is key.
Reminder: deposits are non-refundable. If you miss your appointment, a new deposit will be needed to rebook.
16. What can I NOT do after getting tattooed?

Please take healing seriously — it affects how your tattoo looks forever.

No Swimming (lakes, pools, hot tubs, etc.)
It can ruin your tattoo, cause ink loss, or blur the design. If you absolutely have to swim, use something like Saniderm or Second Skin (you can find it on Amazon). Apply it securely, swim, then remove it right after.

Avoid Excessive Sun Exposure
UV rays can damage fresh tattoos and speed up fading. Once healed, always wear SPF!

Avoid Heavy Sweating
Too much sweat can push ink out of your skin during healing. Try to take it easy for a couple of weeks.
17. What if my Second Skin falls off early?

Don’t worry! While it’s great if it lasts 2–3 days, it’s not the end of the world if it comes off sooner. Just clean the area gently and switch to traditional aftercare. Your tattoo will still heal just fine.
18. Do you do piercings?

Nope — not at the moment. Piercing isn’t a service I offer right now, but maybe in the future!
19. What are your policies again?

- Must be 18+ with valid ID
- Deposits are non-refundable
- 2-hour notice required for cancellations/reschedules
- Fees apply if notice is under 2 hours or for no-shows
- Show up on time (within 15 minutes)
- No food/snacks during the session
- Max of 2 guests
- Respect the space and the process
